A older home, built in 1969 was bought by a couple who wanted to transform the house make to mid century modern. By painting the exterior white with a blue color doors brings back a more modern feeling. We removed several walls to create an open feeling in the kitchen/living room/great room. Structural beams were installed and finished in a natural color. All the electrical, plumbing and HVAC was updated to meet current code requirements. The old outdated texture drywall was removed and 5/8" drywall was installed with a smooth Level 4 texture and painted a white color. The old stone was removed from the fireplace and a modern wavy porcelain tile was installed giving it a more modern look. All new LED recessed can lights were installed. Milgard windows/doors were installed and new insulation to give the house a more efficiency rating. All the bathrooms were reconfigured and new walk in shower surrounds were installed along with new cabinetry and plumbing fixtures. All new porcelain flooring was installed in most areas. The exterior was painted using the original block work. The weed impacted front/back yard were re-landscaped using new drought tolerant landscaping. Who wouldn't want to hang out here??
